“With its Gold Coast neighbors, Gibsons is the steakhouse you visit when you want to take in a scene. There are sporty cars idling at the valet stand, photos of celebs and near-celebs who've appeared here, and overdressed denizens mingling and noshing in the bar, which has a life all its own. The dining rooms evoke a more romantic feel, from the sleek Art Deco decor to the bow-tied bartenders. The portions are notoriously enormous, so Gibsons is best for groups who are happy to share dishes …. If huge portions aren't your thing, you can also order from the bar menu... Yes, Gibsons has a clubby atmosphere, but considering the crowds who show up nightly, the food deserves some credit.”

“The steak is well-made. Very yummy steamed clams and soup. The food is good but I didn't like the seating. The booths are totally uncomfortable.”

“Just as advertised”

“I am a blue collar guy who had received a $250 gift card through work. Had business in the area, family was along so I took them out for an expensive meal. Morton's did not disappoint, everything I had researched online turned out to be true- great food, great service and a wonderful atmosphere. Found a three course meal for two online special for $58/pp, the whole family(4) had it, still kicked in $150/with tip, but well worth it. Though costly, the experience is one you will not forget.”

“Really good food but spotty service. I have had good servers and I have had servers who were rude. It was as if I was disturbing them by coming in for a meal. Overall a decent experience. Very cool to see all of the Harry memorabilia. Chips before meal is a nice touch.”

"Fine dining" for people who don't know any better.  Sad to say, I've been dragged here twice by relatives.  The food is mediocre, and the service is . . . annoying.

On my most recent visit, we waited almost an hour to receive our entrees.  Don't turn your head, because the servers repeatedly snatched away plates full of food and even full beverage glasses without asking.

"Simply another outstanding dining experience at this location. This is at least our 5th trip to the restaurant and it never fails to provide a wonderful evening.”

“My wife and I recently dined at Oba Contemporary Japanese in Des Plaines, and it was very very good. Open for lunch and dinner, we stopped in for an early lunch, studied the multipage menu, and tried many different appetizers, specialty maki that were each so creative, and cooked kitchen items - try the braised shortrib! Everything was so tasty, with homemade sauces, superfresh sushi and sashimi, cold Japanese bottled beers, and gracious service. Highly recommend to other sushi lovers. Near O'Hare airport...on Elmhurst Road a mile north of I-90 West on the east side of the street in a tiny strip mall, just south of W. Dempster. Enjoy!”

“Good, but extremely unremarkable food. If others want to eat here, I'd likely go with them, but I probably won't ever suggest this place.

They really just need the food to be more flavorful (and spicy, in my opinion) and this place would easily be 4 stars.”

“Excellent dry aged steaks, but it's the service that won me over. Our server was very helpful and his recommendations were spot on. Had the lobster bisque with huge chucks of lobster. Loved it! My husband had that dry aged sirloin that was perfect. I ordered the bone-in Kona crusted Dry Aged Sirloin and it was a little over cooked for my taste. As for the sides, I loved the truffle fries. So good.

Complimentary valet parking for up to 5hours. Will be coming back.”

“We had a group of 9 and were placed in a location that allowed us all to interact without disturbing others or having others become "part of the party". The waitstaff was pretty efficient and unobtrusive, although one of our group never did get his appetizer. The food was very good, but not really exceptional. I would recommend this for business groups or family outings.”

“I wish I could give Oliveti's more than 3 stars.  I love the food here - so fresh tasting and authentic.  However, last night we were reminded why we hadn't been here in so long - the service is so terrible that I will only ever order for carry out.  They already had issues with poor service, but now it seems like they have cut back on the staff.  I didn't see any bussers last night and our waitress clearly had too many tables than she could handle.  By the time she came back to check on us, I was done eating my dinner.  I was also disappointed that I specifically went for the Papardelle Chardonnay and they were out of paperdelle.  The waitress suggested rigatoni, which was still good but wasn't the right proportion to the sauce.”

“We had our wedding at Grazie and the night exceeded all of our expectations! Phyllis and Kami (the event coordinators) were great to work with! They answered our questions thoroughly and promptly. The food was excellent! I didn’t try any of the hors d’eourvres, but our guests were raving about it. The salad, appetizer and main course were fantastic! And the dessert and dessert table were to die for! They do not serve the typical banquet food! I can’t tell you how many guests complimented the food. And to top it off, the price is extremely reasonable for the amount that you get and for being in the O’Hare area. I would highly recommend Grazie for your wedding!”

“It's a good towny dive bar, if that's what you're going for. I enjoy coming here for the Friday night karaoke + $4 Blue Moons.

Pros:

+Cheap drinks
+Good bar food. READ: BAR FOOD. Nothing glamerous, but you can't really screw up fried appetizers. They have a Friday Fish Fry. I hear their pizza is good. Etc.
+Ecclectic crowd of locals. There's usually a good atmosphere. People are there to unwind and have a good time.
+Karaoke. Fair in their line ups...everyone gets a turn. Good selection.
+Heated outside area for smokers.
+All of the bartenders and waitresses are friendly and attentive. Fast service. They have brought me new beers before I finished one!

Cons:

-Eh. The bathrooms. Worth mentioning, but it's not a big deal.”

“We had a group of 5 and we visited Leona's around 7:30pm on a Friday night. The place was only about 1/3 full.  The service was a bit lacking--our drinks ran dry and stayed that way for quite some time before we ever got any refills.  The menu is very large.  Probably too large.  The pricing of the food wasn't too bad for the size of the portions.  Unfortunately the food really lacked inspiration.  I ordered a garlic chicken entree which was ok, not quite good.  For sides I had angel hair pasta with marinara, meh, and wedge fries which were very good.  I definitely could have eaten many more wedge fries!  I also tried the five cheese lasagna which I flat out did not like.  So overall, I probably won't visit Leona's again.”

“I liked this place, killing time one Sunday afternoon in September.

Good-lots of big screen tv's, great atmosphere, wide beer selection

Bad-every time I wanted a beer it was unavailable - it typically took 2-3 tries before I would select one on the menu that was actually stocked.”

I love this place. Yes, I am not a kid, but I still dig the little train carrying out the lunches and all the train memorabilia. I like seeing the thrill in the eyes of the little kids when they see the train come past. It is one of the few places on earth that I don't mind loud kids, because here I am the interloper, reliving a childhood memory I never actually had,

The burgers are surprisingly decent and so is the chili and the shakes. I would give Choo Choo five stars, but it is a tad pricey. It is a special place though. We've been here before and we'll be here again!!!

“This restaurant is at the Embassy Suites Hotel.  I've been there because it's within walking distance to my company.  They have great soups and salads here.   I had the soup of the day Cream of Mushroom soup, which was served in a bread bowl.  It was rich and hearty, and perfect for the weather.  The sandwiches can be hit or miss.  I had the crabcake sandwich, which was not so good.  It tasted to fishy to me.  The seasoned fries are pretty good.  It's a nice place for lunch with coworkers or a vendor.  It can be a little pricey though soups are in the $5 range, and the sandwiches and salads are around $12.  The service is great, and it's a very quiet and relaxing atmosphere.”
